Equipment exposed to marine climates underlies the risk of quick corrosion damages. Especially with cost intensive HVAC systems which are essential for climate comfort must stay dry and filters shall not suffer from damages caused by the ingress of moisture and sea spray or after condensation (formed on cooling coils). Water collected in filters and in the intake ducts of HVAC systems also runs the risk of biological growth that may be related to “Sick Ship Syndrome” or Legionnaire’s Disease.

In the shipbuilding industry liquid / gas separation technology is used for the removal of any liquid and solid particles that are generated by nature. The function of the separators focuses on the removal of airborne salt particles that occur in the marine environment. These particles (either in liquid or solid state) are generated in nature from rain, sea-spray, and fog.  These particles also vary in size (diameter) and densities require different design gas velocities in order to get fully and effectively be removed from the incoming air stream while minimizing pressure loss.

ENSEPATEC’s products are focussed upon:

  • Removal of rain for filter protection (RainSep)
  • Removal of salt spray and salt particulates against corrosion damages (SaltSep)
  • Removal of snow and vane heating against Icing (ColdSep)
