Type II Stack-rain separator is suitable for vertical gas flows. It can be fitted in an exhaust stack or at the top of the stack. The removal efficiency of liquid droplets can be adjusted through selection of the vane element. The unit can be fitted with an upstream-wash-system for applications with solids present in the gasstream.

The gasstream flows straight through the separator and the liquid drains back down by gravity force. For maintenance the separator can be opened. he illustration below shows a typical design with a single stage vane type separator and a wash-system.

Wash systems

The inline separator can be equipped with a wash-system for services that require online cleaning. The illustration to the left shows a typical upstream nozzle arrangement that cover the entire separator surface. Wash systems can be operated continuously or discontinuously, whatever the process requires.

Perfomance data

The removal efficiency of the inline separator is typically 12-35µm, 99.9%. The pressure loss is very low and ranges typically below 50Pa.
